Growing more food for the community and educating the young children better Agriculture practices.

Updated: Nov 17, 2019

One of the goals of ABCCA is to teach the children to grow their own food. By teaching a child to grow fruits and vegetables, you teach a child to feed himself. If a person can feed herself, she has potential to help feed a community. To be an active member of the community in order to bring about positive changes, is to live a life according to the blessing of talents given by the Lord. To not use those talents given to us, we cheat ourselves as well as those around us.

When the community was gifted with seeds from the United States as well as Australia, the children went to work preparing a garden of their own. They worked diligently and cheerfully as they tended the land and cleared the plants that were in the way.

Anyone who has gardened knows and understands it is not something to take lightly, but a job that requires a lot of patience, love, and care. It isn't easy work, but it is a work worth doing when the outcome means so much: the outcome of food and nutrition as well as a possible means of income for a community in need of monetary help.

There is a tremendous joy that can come to a child by simply letting them do something big. Planting this garden is definitely a big thing!

At the end of the long hard day, they can smile because they have accomplished so much more than they even imagined. For we can count the seeds which we put into the ground, but only God can know the abundance which will grow from them.

May it be your prayer as well as ours that these children be able to watch this very abundance grow before their eyes so they may also give thanks to God for all that He has given.

May the good Lord bless you. Thank you!
